Ghanda Presents Narana Fest 2007! April 9th
The rumours are true Narana is back and flying off to a great start with many bands willing and eager to join the line up for this 2007 day of music and connection.
The day promises to fulfil all expectations placing a greater emphasis on the relationship with our indigenous community both local and throughout Australia.
Xavier Rudd is jumping onboard for the 2nd consecutive year following the success of the 2006 event. Capping off from his hugely successful 2006 tour and with the soon to be release of his new album Xavier is once again looking forward to playing on home soil.
Xavier's strong alliance with Narana creations and his continued support of their message and teachings will see him headlining the festival along with other local and national Australian artists.
2006 capped of the first of its kind in any festival stagged within Victoria and the sold out event saw people from across the globe gather for a common cause.
The promoters for the Narana Fest are in an exciting position given the lack of festivals like this currently in the Geelong/Surfcoast region. The festival aims to provide an avenue in which to promote music, the best local artists to the region but above all raise awareness.
Dynamic Aboriginal roots singer Dan Sultan, rock and roll wizards The White Room and following his latest release “Three Boxes” Carus and the True Believers will be amongst the inspirational performers coming together to honour the traditional heritage of this country on Easter Monday 9th of April. With more acts and special guests to be announced.
Aboriginal dance troupes will gather from around the country sharing their traditional and contemporary stories, ensuring this ‘cooroberree’ will be an exciting experience. Patrons will be participating in a truly enriching day whilst knowing that their contributions will be assisting with the establishment of a much needed Aboriginal education program for local Victorian schools.
Tickets on sale now $47+bf check out xavierrudd.com for more information. Stayed tuned but be swift as this is a limited capacity venue and tickets sell quickly. More artists and special guest to be announced soon.
